Context 2012

CONTEXT was billed as Miami’s newest cutting edge, contemporary art fair but then, they were just one of many new fairs this year claiming that title.  see my pic for best venue |

Banksy11

Accessing the fair by way of Art Miami I walked passed the moribund display of a controversial graffiti wall by the elusive artist Banksy.  The poor rat looked like a hooker in a window in Amsterdam waiting for the highest bidder.

The fair was swarming with visitors on Saturday which made the viewing difficult but  as I made my way through the crowds I was pleased to see some fresh new work.

At LICHT FELD GALLERY artist Tiffayny Trenda uses her body to explore the human psyche and its relationship to machines and technology while the artist MARCK likes to lock people up in metal boxes and put them on view in video sculptures.
